The new film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," produced by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, is now filming and it’s going to be released worldwide on July 31, 2026. 

It  follows the events of the previous film "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and is set in a world after Peter Parker has been completely erased from everyone's memory. 

Tom Holland will return to the lead role,  continuing his portrayal of Peter Parker and an unknown hero. 

The film centers on his journey to become a true hero, once again in conflict between justice and personal life.

The film was directed by Destin Danielle Creighton, who introduced the movie as a story that depicts human anguish and recovery rather than the splendor of a hero. 

Because he was a director of another Marvel film, “Shang-Chi: Legend of Ten Rings” which featured amazing action scenes, he’s expected to show fantastic action scenes of Spider-Man. 

The biggest topic of the series is the inclusion of John  Bernthal, who played Punisher. 

Bernthal’s portrayal of Punisher was loved by Netflix's Marvel Universe, as the MCU is in full swing. 

Punisher is  known for his ruthless pursuit of justice, and his method of justice is starkly different from that of Peter Parker. 

Due to leak of studio and props, a new villain group who used demon mark as their icon,  fans are wondering how Punisher and Spider-Man, who have very different beliefs for executing justice, will cooperate against the villain group.

Meanwhile, Michelle  johns, played by Zendaya, is living a new life forgetting Peter, as her memory with Peter Parker is forgotten. 

Michelle Johns seems to meet Peter Parker as  If he’s a stranger.

With new casting, Peter Parker might get a new girlfriend. 

Sadie Sink will join the film for the first time in an unknown role. 

Because she has red hair, fans predict she will play MJ,  Peter’s original girlfriend. 

Given that the film  will show Peter’s new college life, Sadie Sink might appear as Peter’s new college friend.

Additionally, it was officially confirmed that Mark Ruffalo will be in the film as Dr. Bruce Banner, the Hulk. 

He appears as a new mentor to Peter, offering guidance on how to bear the responsibility of a hero, and making a significant impact on his inner growth as a ‘OG hero’, like previous Spider-Man film’s mentor, Iron Man, Nick Fury and Dr. Strange.

The film revolves around the themes of "Sacrifice," "Identity," and "Forgiveness," and takes a whole new direction while inheriting the emotional legacy of the previous Spider-Man series. 

It also showed in the semi-title, ‘Brand New Day”. The latest MCU Spider-Man trilogy’s semi-titles all include word ‘Home’, ‘Home Coming’, ‘Far from Home’ and ‘No Way Home’. 

But this film ends with ‘Day’, it seems to show a new style of Spider-Man and a new life as a college student Peter Parker. 

Also, this film will be released right before “Avengers: Dooms Day,” so  fans are expecting it to show a connection to that movie.
