Toronto’s Eaton Centre is celebrating the holiday season with the return of its famous 114-foot Christmas tree, a towering centerpiece that has long made visitors feel welcomed, entertained, and part of the mall’s festive spirit.

The tree will be on display from November 14th to December 31st.

This tree is one of the tallest indoor trees in Canada, and has been well known for about 2 years  now, being featured in 2023 and returning in 2025 for the holiday seasons.

The lights were lit up at 1:00 pm along with the daily light and snow show in the mall.

Many people, including shoppers, tourists, and some local residents, are visiting the mall to enjoy the festive decorations of the tree, take photos, etc.

To put up the tree, the 114-footed tree is transported by a huge truck to the mall, and  cranes and other vehicles are used to carefully move it into the installation site.

After the tree is lifted and positioned inside the mall, the tree needs a few days to adjust itself.

Then, the tree will be decorated.

In total,  the entire process takes about 3 to 5 days, 4 hours of transporting, 3 days for the tree to adjust, and another few hours for decorating.

The tall tree is covered with approximately 70 000 LED lights, colourful ornaments, and ribbons.

The LED lights and the snow effects enhance the vibe and atmosphere of the place, by giving the visitors the feeling of a winter-y mood even indoors.

Children are excited to watch the lights shining and snow falling when they walk around the tree.

There are lots of families, couples, and friends who take pictures in front of the tree, creating special memories for the season.

This big event is organized by Cadillac Fairview,  the company that manages the Eaton Centre and other various buildings across southern Ontario.

Andrea Nickel, the senior director of experience, stated “the holidays are a cherished time for connection, and at CF, we are dedicated to crafting meaningful moments where families and friends can come together and enjoy the true magic of the season.”

Also, the tree provides a platform for many stores to promote their own decorations and holiday promotions on the tree.

Some activities  in the mall include getting pictures from a photographer, and a package that includes time with Santa, and also pictures from the photographer.

It costs $10 for just getting a picture from a photographer, which is 2 digital photos, and for the package, it is $15 with 3 digital photos from the photographer.

This reservation may be booked online starting from November 4th.

Moving to west Sherway Gardens, Mrs Claus will be making surprise appearances each weekend starting on November 15th.

She will be handing out candy canes and other gifts like scratch cards to win gift cards to the mall during her visits.

On November 15, 18, 22, 23, and December 6, 7, 13, and 14, Mrs. Claus will also be sharing  "enchanting tales of the North Pole” in an hour long.

As the Eaton Centre Christmas tree is bringing joy to people who visit, with the lights, decorations, and entertaining shows. The tree has become a tradition in Toronto. It will be displayed until the end of December.
